Seniors 

Coach: Melanie Cousin

Assistants: Ella Freeman & Fiona Allen 

Melanie competed in Calisthenics at Championship for 24 years. She attained very good results throughout her Levels exams and competed in both Graceful and Physical solo competitions from the age of 10. She was a member of the Victorian State Team on 4 occasions, represented Victoria in the Nationals in her Graceful Girl Solo, was the CVI State Title Champion in the 16 years Open Graceful section and has competed in the RSSS Ballarat Most Graceful Girl Competition 9 times. Melanie coached the Chadstone Sub Junior section from 2009-2012, obtaining CVI State Champions and RSSS Ballarat Aggregate titles and the Junior section from 2013 - 2016. Melanie has coached Seniors since 2014 as well as solos in various age sections. Melanie is extremely passionate about Calisthenics and the Confidence, Creativity, Thrill and Love that comes with such a wonderful sport/art. “There is no better feeling then performing to a full house,  and no greater gift then seeing your pupils perform and become the very best they can be.” Calisthenics really does give you skills for Life.
Ella started Calisthenics 21 years ago at the age of 3 at Chadstone Calisthenics Club, where her grandma was president. She competed from Tinies to Seniors at Chaddy before moving to Ceres Calisthenics Club in 2010. Ella was selected as a member of the Victorian Calisthenics Senior Team for 4 consecutive years, from 2010 - 2014. Ella became qualified in 2008 and since then has coached teams of Subbies through to Inters. In 2017 Ella coached the Victorian Calisthenics Inters State Team. She is very much looking forward to stepping up to assist the Chaddy Seniors.​
Fiona has been an active calisthenics competitor for over 25 years and is currently a member of Ceres in the Masters team. Fiona achieved her coaching qualification in 2008 after helping various sections at the clubs she competed at. Fiona has worked with all age groups across a range of divisions as well as coaching solos and pupil skills and previously assisted the Tinies team at Chadstone in 2014. Fiona looks forward to working with Mel, Ella and the Senior team and helping the team achieve its goals throughout the year. 

Intermediates 

Coach: Ella Freeman

Ella started Calisthenics 21 years ago at the age of 3 at Chadstone Calisthenics Club, where her grandma was president. She competed from Tinies to Seniors at Chaddy before moving to Ceres Calisthenics Club in 2010. Ella was selected as a member of the Victorian Calisthenics Senior Team for 4 consecutive years, from 2010-2014.  Ella has competed in calisthenics solos, gracefuls and duos for many years and achieved all her calisthenics levels. She also competes in Cheer & Dance competitions, and has been to America twice to represent Australia in the World Cheerleading Championships in 2013 & 2014.
Ella became qualified in 2008 and since then has coached teams of Subbies through to Inters. In 2017 Ella coached the Victorian Calisthenics Inters State Team. She is very much looking forward to another year as Coach of Chaddy Inters, and stepping up to assist the Chaddy Seniors.​

Assistants: Serena Swedosh & Jess Lockhart

Serena started calisthenics as a Subbie at Chadstone and competed with Chadstone for 11 years. She achieved her level one coaching qualification in 2013. 
Serena assisted in sections from Tinies through to Inters at Chadstone for almost 10 years. She loves coaching solos and team work and working individually with girls to help them gain confidence and achieve their goals!
Jessica has been a member of Chadstone since starting in 1994 as a very young Subbie. 
Jessica began helping with the younger sections of the club in 2001 and gained her level 1 qualifications in 2006. Since then she has assisted in all sections of the club from Tinies to Intermediates, coached levels, solos and duos and has run parts of our summer school. Jessica is passionate about all children being given the opportunity to grow as a performer and as an individual, to feel valuable to their team and to have lots of laughs along the way. 

Juniors 

Co-Coach: Jess Lockhart

Jessica has been a member of Chadstone since starting in 1994 as a very young Subbie. 
Jessica began helping with the younger sections of the club in 2001 and gained her level 1 qualifications in 2006. Since then she has assisted in all sections of the club from Tinies to Intermediates, coached levels, solos and duos and has run parts of our summer school. Jessica is passionate about all children being given the opportunity to grow as a performer and as an individual, to feel valuable to their team and their club and to have lots of laughs along the way. Jessica has been a competitor with the club for 20 years and received Life Membership in 2017.

Co-Coach: Whitney Sharpe

Whitney has been involved in Calisthenics since the age of 5. During this time she has competed for Chadstone as an Inter and Senior and in both graceful and physical solo competitions. Her greatest achievement in physical solos was winning CVI and competing in the 17 years and over open section. Whitney enjoyed helping out the younger sections of Chadstone, which led to her gaining her Level 1 Coaching Qualification in 2011. Since then has coached the sub-junior and junior sections at Chadstone, as well as a number of soloists and levels. She is passionate about encouraging physical activity and believes calisthenics promotes confidence and strength in a friendly team based sport. She is looking forward to another year of co-coaching.

Assistant: Stacie Howell

Stacie started Calisthenics in 1998 at Kilvington Calisthenics College as a non-competitive member of the Tinies section. Once Kilvington Calisthenics closed down, Stacie moved to Chadstone in 2002 as a last year Subbie and has now been a passionate member for 19 years. Over the last 8 years she has helped in all sections from Tinies to Inters and achieved her level one coaching qualification early in 2014.
Stacie is extremely excited to take on the Assistant role of Juniors in 2018 and hopes to encourage other members of Chadstone Calisthenics Club with her enthusiasm and love for Calisthenics.. 

Sub-Juniors 

Coach: Michaela Young

Assistants: Cristina Aravena-Hughes & Samantha Caddaye

​Michaela started Calisthenics at age 3 in Mentone, and moved to Kallara 3 years later where she competed for 19 years. She won the Kallara excellence award in 2001 before travelling overseas for 3 years. Michaela competed in solos for 9 years in both physical (State Champ 14 years) and gracefuls (VCCA winner 15 years). Michaela competed for the Victoria State Team on 5 occasions as an inter and senior and coached a State Team soloists at the nationals in 2006.
In 2009, Michaela moved to Regent and competed for 6 years there before retiring. Michaela has been assisting for over 20 years, co-coaching for 2 years, and this will be her 4th year as a sub junior coach, her second at Chadstone.
She has had 3 State champion soloists over the years in 8 years, 10 years, and 17 years, two of these are Chadstone girls.
​Cristina have been competing in Calisthenics since 1998 beginning at Windsor Calisthenics Club and currently competing in Seniors at Cranbourne Calisthenics Club and solos. She has coached various solos and sections since being a last year Junior and has run Strength and Conditioning classes at a gym for children between 4-12 years old.
Cristina became a qualified level one coach in 2013 and coached Intermediates from 2014 at Cardinia and assisted Cranbourne Intermediates in 2017. She is very excited to be assisting the Sub Juniors this year and working along side Mikki and Sam.
Samantha began calisthenics in 2004 at just four years old at Chadstone. She has grown up through the club to now competing in seniors. Her love of sport is what drives her to teach the next group of young dancers. Alongside calisthenics she is an avid rower, one day hoping to make Australian teams, a lifeguard and thoroughly enjoys playing netball. Her degree in sport science and sports business enables her to bring a new aspect to her coaching. She is extremely excited about the year ahead and the development to the girls and boys she is coaching. Chadstone is her home away from home and coaching here is an honour.

Tinies 

Coach (Saturday): Jacqui Lavery

Jacqui has been involved in calisthenics since 1995, and began assisting with the tines as a 9 years old. She has been lucky to have won Ballarat in all sections of calisthenics from Subbies to Seniors.  Jacqui competed at Chadstone for a year following competition with Kristar and Regent.
Jacqui also started assisting with the Tinies at Chadstone in 2006. She enjoys coaching the Tinies particularly seeing them develop their skills and taking that through to seniors. Tinies always put a smile on your face!
Jacqui commenced as head coach for tinies in 2014.

Co-Coach (Tuesday): Samantha Caddaye

Samantha began calisthenics in 2004 at just four years old at Chadstone. She has grown up through the club to now competing in seniors. Her love of sport is what drives her to teach the next group of young dancers. Alongside calisthenics she is an avid rower, one day hoping to make Australian teams, a lifeguard and thoroughly enjoys playing netball. Her degree in sport science and sports business enables her to bring a new aspect to her coaching. She is extremely excited about the year ahead and the development to the girls and boys she is coaching. Chadstone is her home away from home and coaching here is an honour.
